Following a successful exhibition in Milan, the Trissino-based machinery manufacturer Evolution Tech has released its redesigned Evopress roller press, reports Leatherbiz
As first reported in the August/September 2019 edition of World Leather magazine, the company’s first Evopress had a pre-heating conveyor that allowed leather to be brought up to temperature before the roller press operation. In doing so, leather could be pressed at lower temperatures and at a quicker speed.
The new design has now doubled the length of the feed in conveyors and intensified the flow of the diathermic oil needed to bring them to temperature. In addition to these changes, the conveyors have been made of special plastic materials that can attain a higher temperature than the previous machine, up to 120°C.
