The Leather and Hide Council of America (LHCA) said it is considering leading a trade mission to Vietnam and Thailand in July 2020, given the growing importance of those two markets to the U.S. leather industry, reports ILM.
Led by the LHCA, a delegation comprised of four to six members would visit the Shoe and Leather Vietnam trade show, to be held July 15-17, as well as tanneries and leather manufacturers located near Ho Chi Minh City.
The delegation could also visit the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) office in Bangkok, Thailand, and some local tanneries either before or after the Vietnam portion of the trip.
According to LHCA, the trade mission is to be funded by the USDA export promotion funds, and the LHCA would cover airfare, accommodation and local transportation for all participants. To participate in the mission, please contact Jane Li at [email protected] by February 28, 2020.
