Tip & tricks for fashion & material business
Jasmine Smith established the lingerie brand, RAVEN + ROSE, to represent edgy females in a way that still promotes their sensuality - without having to resort to push up bras or padding!
Jasmine believes in the female form. Its natural curves should be embellished as apposed to re-shaped into something that fits the stereotypical mold of what it means to be sexy.
Based in Hong Kong since 2006, but born and raised in New Zealand, Jasmine comes from a Fashion Design background, having studied in New Zealand's AUT as an apparel designer. She has since developed her role as a fashion entrepreneur through working as a Stylist and Blogger in Hong Kong.
Having immersed herself in fashion since her earliest studies she has cultivated her knowledge of the many facets that make the industry tick. Jasmine's return to her roots as a designer is a timely one, now that she has built strong connections, the right experience, and has the grounding to support her vision.
Having lived in both New Zealand and Hong Kong, Jasmine draws on both the aesthetics from her homeland - its dark and modest view on fashion - as well as her current experience with densely city orientated and Asian surroundings, to complete what is a lingerie range that compliments the provocatively and non-conventional sexiness of modern day women.
Jasmine has come to recognise that there are always those that flirt on the outskirts of what is mainstream and it is these women that RAVEN + ROSE caters for.
RAVEN + ROSE celebrates edgy comforts. It symbolises both the dark intellectual side of femininity as well as its blooming and sensual nature; it brings together these two dynamic facets of femininity into harmonious balance.
RAVEN + ROSE is both a perfect compliment and a beautiful contradiction.
Like it or not, the 90’s staple pieces is back - with this season’s must have accessory being the belt-bag, NOTE: With an upgrade!
Whether it's velvet, suede, or fuzzy, all the interesting textures can be seen on street style stars everywhere (even on their handbags!) lately. Paired with simple garments, these clutches can serve as a talking point everyone will ask about.
Gold was the luxurious heavy metal of choice for the fall/ winter 2018-2019 handbag trends. Gold adornments graced bags ranging from the dainty and subtle to the bold and assertive. We love how gold has a shapeshifting temperament and can be at once glamorous and conservative.
Love them or hate them, kitten heels are back. You'll see next season's shoe offerings from boots to flats with this tiny detail added on. You'll find the style is practical for both fancy events and commuting to work, so consider investing in a pair or two.
Taking business requirements to a whole new level, the likes of Givenchy, Prada, Burberry and Balenciaga have all added LANYARDS to their 2019 collection - creating a fuss amongst the office workers who previously only wore a lanyard for their ID work to be seen… style has never before played a part in.
