Don Ohsman was a former full-time trader of North American Hides and he is the President of Hidenet Publications. Upon graduation from the University of Denver in 1962, he entered his families hide business started by his grandfather in 1891. He has been producing weekly market reports since 1975. Don is in continual contact with every major and many smaller American producers. He is also communicating on a regular basis with a large number of Asian and domestic tanners. He is the writer of the U.S. daily, International and U.S. weekly Hidenet market reports and a regular contributor to Leather International, APLF.com, and I.D.C. Industries Du Cuir.

This term goes back to the law of the jungle, which in one sense could be attributed to the business world. The least successful Companies go out of business and the most successful grow.
Good news…..is hard to find in the leather industry. For too long, tanners and brands have been expounding gloom and doom about their business and future prospects. Bad news usually makes headlines.
