Every year, I wish I was in the US to enjoy Fashion Night Out, the annual shopping extravaganza spearheaded by US Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. Brands come out with limited edition launches and things that I always keep an eye for include Chanel's nail polish colors (I managed to get my hands on the denim collection from last year and this year they are doing both lipsticks and nail polish) and other special collaborations, such as this week's Bag Lady (stay tuned for Thursday's post). Well for the first time, Hong Kong is getting it's own Fashion Night Out jointly put together by Vogue China and Lane Crawford. All the LC stores will have fun things going on such as first dibs on the above limited edition designer tees for charity by Alexander Wang, Givenchy, Lanvin, Opening Ceremony, Neil Barrett, Stella McCartney and White Mountaineering. Then you get to embellish it with studs, gems and ribbons at the customisation bar.
In addition, Susie Bubble will be styling some windows while 3.1 Phillip Lim will be offering shoppers a special comic book called Kill The Night. Other highlights include a Stella McCartney Flower Cart, T by Alexander Wang exclusive worldwide launch of limited edition packaged tees, a Petite Amanda pop up shop, a beauty nail bar and the first appearance of Zana Bayne in Hong Kong to personally design one off leather accessories for guests.
