A Closer Look at Biocide Residues: Do They Remain in the Leather or Do They Leach Out? A Scientific Study

20 March 2024
10:30 am - 11:30 am
Main Stage, Hall 3C, HKCEC

We are presenting the results of a study conducted by LANXESS in cooperation with the renowned FILK Freiberg Institute GmbH. The study affirms that the main biocides used in leather production processes do not migrate from finished leather products, ensuring your safety and peace of mind when choosing leather goods.

The results of the study are critical for assessing the potential risks associated with biocide residues in leather articles. By measuring the amounts of biocide migrated, experts can assess the likelihood of human exposure and any associated risk.
