Herman is a co-founder of Affinity Network, and leads the strategic decision-making and day-to-day operations at Caboodle, a networking platform for innovative material suppliers, creative footwear design, and footwear sourcing in general.
In recent years, Herman has been active in various sectors of the footwear industry. His experiences include involvement in materials sourcing, footwear product development, merchandising, and software engineering.
He has collaborated with numerous partners in the footwear industry, including local and foreign designers, manufacturers, material suppliers, testing organisations, branded businesses, and more. As of 2024, he resides mainly in Putian, China, together with most of the international Caboodle team, and engages directly with local manufacturers on a daily basis.
Herman was born and raised in Hong Kong, spending his childhood in an international and multilingual environment. He is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, and has presented at a variety of footwear and materials-related events and public seminars. He is a graduate of Loughborough University, and has lived in the United Kingdom for three years.
