China in Manolo Blahnik’s sights for 2024

High-end footwear brand Manolo Blahnik is preparing to open own-brand stores in China in 2024. The move comes two years after the company won a long-running legal battle over use of its trademark in China, reports Leatherbiz.

Manolo Blahnik has never sold its shoes in China, but chief executive Kristina Blahnik, the founder’s niece, has told the Financial Times: “It will be a huge market for us. It’s very exciting.”

The London-based company reported revenues of €118.2 million in 2022, a new record.
