The facility is filled with mycelium which is the root structure of mushrooms. This mushroom leather is called Reishi and it has a similar hand-feel, strength, and durability to high-end leather.

Its maker MycoWorks says its new factory will help meet growing demand for high-end leather that is both animal and plastic-free.
