Five students from Turkey recently completed a leather finishing training course at the Stahl Campus education facility at Waalwijk, writes Leatherbiz.

The group, all students at EGE University in Izmir, travelled to the Netherlands for specialist, concentrated training in leather finishing. They covered topics including colour matching, basecoats, topcoats, finishing for fashion and performance testing.

Environmental, social, and corporate governance and lifecycle assessment were also part of the course. The students also took time to visit Waalwijk’s Shoe and Leather Musuem.

Leather chemicals group Stahl launched its Stahl Campus programme in 2014 and has added dedicated education and training centres in China and Mexico to the one at its corporate headquarters in Waalwijk.
