Hong Kong-based footwear and fashion group Viva Group has reported revenues of around US $380 million in the first quarter of 2023, writes Leatherbiz.

Viva Group is a company set up by former Chinese Olympic athlete and sporting goods entrepreneur Li Ning. In 2022, the group became the majority shareholder of Clarks footwear group.

Clarks contributed 86% of the group’s total revenue, indicating for the footwear group revenues of around $325 million.

Commenting on the group’s results for the quarter, Li Ning said: “The global economy is gradually recovering from the epidemic and the retail market and consumer confidence are expected to recover gradually. Viva Group will continue to explore and further consolidate its international brand matrix through brand value reshaping, and gradually grow into a more important market participant.”
