24 May 2023

Spin360 and the Leather and Hide Council of America (LHCA) will be presenting at a life cycle assessment (LCA) focused webinar organised by Leather Working Group on May 24, writes ILM.

Understanding the environmental footprint of leather is hosted by ILM, organised by the Leather Working Group and sponsored by global leader in specialty coatings and treatments for flexible substrates Stahl.

During the event, Federico Brugnoli, founder and CEO of Spin360, will present “Lifecycle Assessments: A data-driven approach to reducing the impact of leather manufacturing”.

In this presentation, he will discuss why LCAs are a powerful methodology that can quantify the environmental performance of leather products across multiple impact categories from cradle to grave.

Kevin Latner, Vice President of the LHCA, will also speak at the event, presenting “Showcasing Sustainability, Investing in our Future”.

During this presentation, he will discuss why we must provide hard, credible and empirical data that looks at the lifecycle of leather, from the field to the use of leather as a durable alternative to synthetics.

The webinar will take place on May 24, 2023 at 1pm BST (2pm CET) and will last for around 90 minutes including a live Q&A following the presentations. Latner and Brugnoli will be joined by presenters from Stahl and Tapestry.

Register for this event today to secure your place and keep an eye on the ILM website for more updates in the coming weeks.
