Supported by The Worshipful Company of Curriers, Leather UK has announced a new swing tag that will be available for use by anyone involved in the design, manufacture and retail of leather and leather goods in the UK.

The tag will carry a QR code, which will direct consumers to the latest information about leather, from production to after care. It will include a range of facts, including how leather is produced and its status as a by-product of the food industry.

Making the information easy to access at point of purchases, when consumers are making product choices is key to the effectiveness of the tag that also addresses misinformation and gives access to more detail on leather’s sustainability credentials.
