On November 7, a health camp was held to provide free advice and medicine for more than 200 tannery workers at the Savar Tannery Industrial Estate in Bangladesh, reports ILM.

The Tannery Workers Union (TWU) organised the event with the support of the Bangladesh office of the Solidarity Centre.

Speaking at the event, Bangladesh Tanners Association General Secretary Shakawat Ullah urged authorities to set up a hospital or community clinic in the tanning complex to ensure the healthcare of workers.
