The Ministry of Commerce in Bangladesh has initiated a Training of Trainers (ToT) programme, financed by the World Bank Group, reports ILM.

The training focused on Environmental, Social and Quality (ESQ) for four targeted sectors – leather goods and footwear, tanning, light engineering and plastics.

The training program was facilitated by E-Zone HRM Limited, monitored by Business Promotional Council (BPC) and organised by Export Competitiveness for Jobs (EC4J).

A total of 449 trainees participated from 187 institutions, comprised of 396 men and 53 women. All trainees will receive a certificate from UK-based certifying authority B-ADVANCY.

The participants of the training program will then go on to conduct training in ESQ at their respective companies.
