Renault Group has reported its results for the first half of the 2023 financial year, with worldwide sales up by 13% year-on-year to 1,133,667 vehicles, writes ILM.
Retail sales accounted for 65% of total sales for the period, while growth in the C segment was 42%.
France is the group’s leading market, with sales of 281,420 cars in the first half of the year, followed by Italy with 96,960, Turkey with 80,130, Germany with 74,792 and Spain with 68,836.
The Renault brand alone had 12% growth to sales of more than 772,000 vehicles. In Europe, the brand was up by 21% to 503,242 units and was the second best-selling brand in the region.
Sales of Renault brand electrified passenger cars grew by 18% and now account for more than 37% of the brand’s passenger car sales in Europe, while full electric vehicle sales account for 11%.
Dacia reported sales growth of 24% to over 345,000 units in the first half of the year, while registrations for Alpine were up by 9% to more than 1,800 vehicles.
