The International Council of Tanners (ICT) has confirmed the appointment of Bekir Burak Uyguner as its new vice-president. He will take up the role of ICT president in 2023, succeeding Professor Mwinyikione Mwinyihija, reports Leatherbiz.

Bekir Burak Uyguner is a board member of Turkish leather manufacturer Uyguner, which specialises in finished leather for aircraft interiors, shoes, garments, leathergoods and furniture.

He is the current president of the Turkish Leather Industrialists’ Association.
