The buzz around Phoebe Philo’s launch of her new brand is good news for leather. With her trademark ‘chic minimalism’ that fans of Chloe and Celine under her creative direction have been waiting for, the brand – which carries her name – is marketed as a ‘continuous, seasonless body of work’. The launch certainly had leather as front and centre with looks including a black leather jacket accompanied by a large leather draped scarf, leather bomber jackets with flounce detailing, a range of leather accessories and leather footwear. Designed for daily wear but in creative interpretations, Phoebe Philo gives consumers insight and inspiration into how leather can be worn across seasons in both classic and edgy variations.
