Pakistan - Falls for all categories in Pakistan’s leather exports

Pakistan’s leather industry registered a fall in export revenues from footwear and all other sectors during the first two months of the current financial year (July and August 2023), reports Footwearbiz.


Exports of footwear, finished leather, garments and leathergoods brought in $142.9 million over the two months, a decline of 14.5% compared to the same months last year.


The fall for finished leather was substantially higher at 36.9% in value year on year. The decline for leather garments and accessories was 8.3%, while for footwear there was a fall of 12.75% in value.
