LVMH-owned brand Kenzo has announced Kenzo-Dome, its first trainer style produced under the creative eye of artistic director Nigo, who took up his position with the house in September 2021, Footwearbizm.

The name of the new model, a 1990s-inspired casual skate shoe, directly references Le Dome, a popular skateboarding spot just in front of Paris’ Palais de Tokyo modern and contemporary art museum. All campaign imagery was subsequently shot by photographer Frank Lebon at the city landmark.

Available from June, the Vietnam-made trainers come in four colourways in total, in either nubuck or suede leather, complete with a thick rubber outsole and triple topstitching for enhanced durability.

Kenzo was founded by France-based, Japanese-born designer Kenzo Takada in 1970.
