Real leather, on the other hand, is made from a biodegradable material that has been used for thousands of years. It’s a byproduct of the food industry—animals are not raised or killed for its hide alone.
So instead of propping up vegan leather, which is resource-intensive and unsustainable, let’s finish this natural material with another natural, upcycled material—one that delivers the same or better durability than fossil fuel derived finishes.
