In recent statements, the legislator stated that “we have just spoken with the deputy Yeidckol Polevnsky who is a member of the Economic Commission. The intervention of ‘Pepe’ Abugaber and Alejandro Gómez Tamez helped us, they spoke with her and asked for her greater sensitivity and openness so that the initiative can move forward ”.

At that meeting they agreed to a new meeting to discuss certain details of the project to advance its approval. “I want to celebrate that there is a great openness and a great sense of responsibility of the deputy with the footwear industry not only in Guanajuato, but also in Jalisco, Yucatán, Michoacán and all of Mexico. She asked us to sit down again, to make some minimal clarifications on the initiative and we are in the process of moving forward and being approved ”.

The law for the promotion and protection of Mexican footwear is supported by the local and federal deputies of the PAN and the National Regeneration Movement (Morena), the party of President López Obrador. These legislators promised the president of the Chamber of the Footwear Industry in Guanajuato -Mauricio Battagla- that they will promote a rapprochement with Raquel Buenrostro, Minister of Economy, authorities of the Tax Administration Service (SAT) and the National Customs Agency to analyze the issue.
