Originally conceived to mark the 200th anniversary of France’s Louis Vuitoon luxury maison, the “200 Trunks, 200 Visionaries: The Exhibition” has arrived in New York and is now open to the public in Barneys at 660 Madison Avenue.

The exhibition was first opened on August 4, 2021 at the Louis Vuitton family House in Asnières, France, before starting its world tour by moving on to Singapore and then on to Los Angeles.

The exhibition is a celebration of the creativity of the trunks designed by 200 artists, including Supreme, Gloria Steinem, BTS, Pat McGrath, Nigo, and Fornasetti. The trunks are housed on four floors and stacked accordingly.

There is also a gift shop on the main floor and the basement boasts “The Residency,” which offers an insight into the Louis 200 project and the artistic process.

The exhibition will run through December 31 at Barneys and entrance is free of charge.
