The Leather and Hide Council of America (LHCA) has elected Ronaldo Ayala, Director of Hide Sustainability and Procurement at Eagle Ottawa by Lear Corporation, as Co-Chair of the association. The announcement was made during LHCA’s Annual Meeting, held October 16–17 in Chicago. By ILM.

Ayala succeeds outgoing Co-Chair Mike York of Tennessee Tanning Co (Rawlings) and will serve alongside current Co-Chair Dave Seaver of JBS.

Ayala said: “The role of our Association continues to be critical. We are here to do better for the industry and the planet.”

The Board also appointed Skip Horween of Horween Leather Company as Treasurer and named David McCullough (Cargill) and Sarah Drayna (TFL Group) to the Executive Committee.
