Anne specialises in advanced, sustainable materials and components, for the ready-to-wear, shoes and leathergoods markets.

Through the years, she has driven fashion trend information of the PremièreVision Accessories-Modamont fair in Paris. She is now consultant for CTC, the French technical leather centre, and for sustainable brands.

Her strategic and trend research papers help brands and key players in the leather industry for their product development, market research and sustainable innovation.

A sought-after speaker for her keen insights, Anne speaks at conferences and also leads workshops with experienced professionals.

As advanced and sustainable materials consultant she passionately makes APLF Material+ go for sustainability.

Ben Wielgus joined Informa in spring 2016 in the newly created Head of Sustainability Role with a briefing to create a competitive advantage from sustainability, building stronger relationships with customers, colleagues and other stakeholders.

 

Over the last 4 years, Informa has been named one of the most improved businesses in sustainability and is currently listed amongst the top 10% most sustainability businesses in the world according to Dow Jones. In 2020, Informa launched its FasterForward sustainability programme setting out an ambitious set of goals to become a zero carbon, zero waste business where sustainability is embedded within each of its products.

 

Before joining Informa, Ben spent nearly 15 years working as part of KPMG’s Sustainability Advisory Group.  He was responsible for leading dozens of engagements working with senior audiences in large, global organisations helping them understand how sustainability can be an asset that returns on the investment in it rather than acts as a cost.

 

Ben specialises in helping organisations understand how the risks and opportunities from sustainability can affect an organisation’s overall strategy.  He works with them to build suitable governance and embed responses to the challenges.

Studied Cultural Studies on Contemporary Design with a Master Degree and Fashion Design with a Bachelor Degree at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Brian is currently serving at The Woolmark Company as the Fashion and Marketing Project Manager, planning and implementing fashion trends and forecast, fashion design education and training, international fashion competitions and awards, as well as global fashion marketing projects/events in Hong Kong and the Greater China.

 

He has over 20 years of experiences in fashion design and consultancy for Asian and International brands. He based in Seoul for 5 years being the Fashion Director to lead 3 lifestyle fashion brands, managed 3 design teams and created all items for young men and ladieswear designs.

 

Also, he was hired as the Program Director/Program Leader in an International Design Education Corporation for 5 years, managed the Fashion Design and Fashion Marketing Departments to ensure quality and college management.

Mr Edwin Keh is the CEO of The Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel. He is also on Faculty at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology where he teaches supply chain operations.

 

Until April 2010 Edwin was the SVP COO of Wal-Mart Global Procurement. Prior to Wal-Mart Edwin managed a consulting group that has done work for companies on the supply chain, manufacturing, and product design. The practise also did work for non-profit organizations and charities. Edwin co-founded the Consortium For Operational Excellence in Greater China (COER GC). The Consortium is sponsored by the Wharton School and Tsinghua University.

 

Edwin had a career as a senior executive with several US consumer goods and retail companies. He was the Managing Director of Payless Shoe source International, Donna Karan International, and Country Road Australia. He also worked for the United Nations High Commission for Refugees.

 

Edwin serves on the Board of Whittier College, CA, and is on the advisory board of multiple social enterprises and NGOs including the Expert Panel of H&M Foundation’s Global Change Award for the year 2018 & 2019.

 

Edwin was named the best of Top 50 Innovative Retail Leaders by Inside Retail Hong Kong in 2019 and is on the Debrett’s Hong Kong 100 as one of the most influential people in Technology and Digital sector in 2015. He is also the 2011 recipient of the Production and Operations Management Society’s Excellence in Production and Operations Management Practice Award. Edwin filed multiple IPs which won global invention awards.

Fernando Bellese is a Marketing and Sustainability professional with more than 10 years of experience in the leather industry. In his role as Chief Sustainability Officer at PrimeAsia Leather Corporation, Fernando is constantly working in projects to develop Cleaner Production approaches, looking at creating more efficient and sustainable outcomes. He has also been engaged actively in different national and international initiatives and organizations such as Leather Naturally, Leather Working Group, ZDHC, UNECE and the Brazilian Roundtable of Sustainable Livestock, participating directly in important discussions involving the worldwide leather industry about innovation, supply-chain, traceability, carbon footprint, environment, transparency, animal welfare, responsible chemical management and the global promotion of sustainable leather.

Lars Doemer is the co-founder and Managing Director of GoBlu International, a company providing advice and solutions to the fashion, apparel and textile industry.

 

With more than 20 years’ experience in the industry, starting as a shift dyer in a German dyeing mill in the late 1980s.

 

Lars started his career in environmental supply chain work in 2000 working with a boutique consulting firm and moved to China in 2004 to develop a deeper understanding of Chinese industry. From 2006, he lived in Hong Kong, where he worked as Global Sustainability Manager Production for Lindex and headed up H&M’s Environmental Global Supply Chain Program for more than five years. While there he took the lead for ZDHC work, was involved in developing the Bangladesh Water Program PaCT, and managed WWF’s Partnership program for water in the supply chain. He was also a Subject Matter Expert in the development of the Facility Module of the Higg Index.

 

Since co-founding GoBlu International in 2016, Lars has returned to Germany to develop business in Europe and oversee a wide spectrum of work ranging from brand-level strategy development and training to implementing textile supply chain programs in countries as diverse as Bangladesh, China and Ethiopia.

 

GoBlu has developed into a trusted advisor to a growing number of brands and retailers in the EU and North America, where it is also partnering with the chemical industry to build innovative chemical management solutions. GoBlu is the publisher of the Fashion Sustainability Week in Review, a free weekly newsletter and news source of choice for sustainability professionals in the fashion, textile and apparel industry.

Mauricio has an MBA, a degree in Veterinary Medicine and a degree in Agronomy. Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, he was part of National Wildlife Federation’s International Wildlife Conservation team as a Senior Corporate Engagement Specialist. Mauricio built his career in the private sector in production and trading of agricultural commodities in Brazil, Australia and in the United States. He supported NWF’s corporate engagement efforts, focused on eliminating the loss and degradation of tropical and sub-tropical forest ecosystems in Latin America that result from the production of key agricultural commodities, primarily beef, leather and soy. He was also responsible for supporting the development and execution of NWF’s corporate engagement activities with companies in North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia, coordinating efforts with coalition partners. And currently working in the World Wildlife Fund to continue to support the beef & leather supply chains.

Mike Redwood has worked in the industry throughout a long career, in which he started as a technician after studying Leather Science at Leeds University and moved into the commercial side while adding a PhD in Marketing from the University of Bath. He has worked in senior positions in many parts of the world and now writes regularly about the industry in articles and blogs. He is a long standing supporter of Leather Naturally and often speaks on their behalf.

Orietta Pelizzari is owner of Mattori Studio-Trend forecaster/consulting agency specialised in fashion and consumer trends, product development, retail and shopping experience and brand scouting for the fashion industry, it is based in Milan and active worldwide. Pelizzari is very knowledgeable about the Italian Fashion System and has shared her expertise as speaker in many renowned international seminars.

His passion is to foster new collaboration strategies that help to promote the innovation of processes and products in order to create sustainable transformation, competitiveness, marketable access and differential value.

Véronique Saunier established her reputation as a journalist soon after moving to Hong Kong in 1988. As a freelance writer, she has been covering the fashion, leather and fine fibre industries for various magazines including the industry’s leading trend setter WGSN. Her background as a former science and technology writer enables her to interpret in a highly readable manner the way new technologies affect various industries and our lives. A dedicated environmentalist, she tirelessly promotes corporate responsibility and sustainable development as a means of preserving cultural diversity. At the same time she defends the rightful access of local populations to education, healthcare, technological advancements, prosperity and wealth creation. She has played an active part in developing and coordinating the programme of the Cashmere World Forum, the Global Footwear Retail Conference and the Sustainable Fashion Conference. A tireless traveler with an extensive experience of living in China, Véronique commutes regularly between Asia and Europe.

On behalf of the “Conseil National du Cuir – CNC” (French National Leather Council), he is in charge to organize the first “Sustainable Leather Forum” in Paris, on September 16th 2019, and is the Chairman of the Organizing Committee.

Since 2001, he delivers speeches during international conferences worldwide about Corporate Social Responsibility and about Sustainability in these industries.

As one of the very first expert on those topics, since 2004, he is a visiting Professor at Lyon University – Jean Moulin (France) where he gives a course on “Social audits and Environmental audits” in an MBA curriculum about CSR.

For 20 years, from 1997 to 2018, he was the Chief Executive Officer of the French CTC Groupe, the international leader in research, training, consulting, testing and quality assurance for the leather industries.

Since 2010 he is President of the UITIC (International Union of Shoe Industry Technicians) and was in charge of organizing several congresses:2013 in Dongguan (China) “CSR: a Challenge for the Footwear Industry”, 2016 in Chennai (India) “Future Footwear Factory” and 2018 in Porto (Portugal) “From Fashion to Factory”.

Yves Morin, is the Chairman of the Council of Experts of the “APLF Materials+ Sustainability Programme”.

Yves Morin holds an MBA in Management from EM Lyon Business School, as well as a Master in Political Science and a Master in Finance from Lyon University – Jean Moulin (France).”
