José Antonio Gutierrez said that traditionally, Marfil concentrated on selling into the US market but now has pivoted towards Asia, looking at the China and Indian markets. He commented that they had received visits from both Chinese and Indian buyers on Day 1 of APLF. He is aware that it was important to have company name recognition in the Asian market.

Johann Toussaint mentioned he attended many events at the show, such as seminars and the Leather Naturally Breakfast Meeting, where he had direct communication with visitors and buyers. He expressed his satisfaction with the networking opportunities provided by the organisers for exhibitors and praised APLF as a successful show.

Pere Tomas Vaques noted that it is very convenient for them to participate in APLF because Hong Kong is an amazing city, and the fair venue is right next to Wan Chai, with its excellent bars, restaurants and nightlife. Moreover, the Hong Kong people are always hospitable to us and very nice. He said it was definitely a great thing to come to APLF. He had met a lot of new potential customers at APLF from Mainland China, Vietnam and Indonesia, and he was optimistic about the talks with the Hong Kong people.

Nabeel Azmat said that as a manufacturer specialising in safety leather, they produce leather, safety shoes, industrial gloves, masks, helmets and overalls. Their main market is in Europe and through APLF they are looking to expand into the Chinese market. They have already met some potential customers from China as well as Indonesia through this exhibition.

Made from bio-based raw materials, this polyurethane can reduce the consumption of petroleum.
