APLF’s debut in Vietnam has attracted a multi-continental line-up of exhibitors from the Americas, Europe, and Asia, underlining the country’s growing importance in the global leather supply chain. From raw hides to finished leathers, chemicals, and components, international suppliers are uniting to serve Vietnam’s booming footwear, bag, garment, and upholstery sectors.
As the trusted organizer behind the world’s leading leather fairs in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Bangkok, APLF’s role is to bring together top international suppliers and connect them directly with local tanning and manufacturing industries. By doing so, APLF ASEAN Vietnam strengthens the region’s position as both a sourcing hub and a production powerhouse.
The Americas: Mexico Leads the Way
From the Americas, Mexico’s presence is led by two leading tanneries, Alfamex and Lefarc. Alfamex specializes in suede leather that is widely used in footwear and leather goods. Lefarc, a Gold Rated tannery, offers a diverse portfolio of leathers serving footwear, apparel, leather goods, and even automotive applications. Their participation demonstrates Mexico’s ambition to deepen trade ties with Asia’s manufacturing base and highlights Latin America’s growing role in the global supply chain.

Europe: Spain, Italy, and France
Europe is strongly represented by Spain, Italy, and France, three countries renowned for their leather-making traditions. Spain brings an impressive delegation, showcasing everything from vegetable-tanned leathers for belts and handbags to thick bovine hides for saddlery and luxury accessories. Companies such as Combalia, Curtidos Lancina, Dercosa, Inpelsa, La Doma, and Miret reflect Spain’s deep heritage in tanning, while Scavini adds diversity with its production of webbings and cords.

Italy, synonymous with luxury craftsmanship, is represented by Wipelli, offering high-quality furniture leathers, and Conceria Tre Emme, which produces full grain and split leathers for footwear, upholstery, and leather goods.

Perhaps most significant is the French delegation. Five major suppliers — Nick Winters, Bigard, SVA Jean Rozé, Covico, and Les Cuirs de l’Ouest — will be present under the banner of the French Hides and Skins Federation (FFCP). Their focus on raw hides sends a strong signal of confidence in Vietnam’s tanning industry. These hides will be processed by local tanneries to create leathers that meet rising domestic demand across footwear, bag, garment, and upholstery sectors.

Together, these Chinese companies reflect the country’s leadership in sustainable leather production and reinforce Vietnam’s role as a regional hub for downstream manufacturing.
Beyond Asia’s tanneries, specialized upstream partners from across the globe will also be present. India’s Labour Craft supplies precision blades for tanning and finishing machinery, South Africa’s UCL and UAE’s Novochrom provides tanning chemicals and offers a wide range of allied materials. These companies are vital, ensuring exhibitors and buyers have access to the technologies and inputs that make high-quality leather production possible.
