The International Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists Societies (IULTCS) is pleased to announce that Italy has been selected as the host of the IULTCS World Congress 2029, following the unanimous approval of its bid by the IULTCS Executive Committee.

The successful proposal was presented by Tomaso Pellegrini, recently elected President of the Italian Association of Leather Chemists (AICC).

The 2029 Congress will celebrate the 125th Anniversary of AICC and will bring together the global leather science and technology community to exchange knowledge, present research, strengthen international collaboration, and explore the future of our industry.

Italy’s proposal is built around four strategic themes that reflect the future of leather:

• Innovation
• Sustainability
• Circular Economy
• Digital Transformation

The IULTCS congratulates Tomaso Pellegrini, the newly elected AICC Board of Directors, and the entire Italian leather community on this important achievement.
