New leadership has been announced for the Council for Leather Exports (CLE) following its 184th Committee of Administration meeting held in Chennai on January 6, 2026. By ILM.

Ramesh Kumar Juneja has assumed the role of Chairman of the CLE, which functions under India’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry as an export promotion council.

Juneja has been associated with CLE for over 15 years, serving as Regional Chairman of the Eastern Region since 2014 and as Vice Chairman since April 2024. With more than four years of experience in the leather sector, he is the founder of JC Group and involved in businesses spanning leather accessories, chemicals and real estate.

He has also played leadership roles in industry bodies including the Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and the Calcutta Leather Complex Tanners’ Association.
