Welcome to our latest ‘Meet The Member’ profile: Deborah Taylor, PCQI, FSLTC, Managing Director of The Sustainable Leather Foundation and President of the Society of Leather Technologists and Chemists (SLTC). Deborah is also a Consultant at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe.

In this interview, we explore what drew Deborah to the leather industry, her plans for the future of SLF and the supportive power of the leather community.

“Colleagues who I had worked with during my time at LWG inspired me to launch the Foundation. Knowing that I had the support of industry who believed that I could create a framework for inclusive improvement, spurred me on to put into action everything I knew was missing in terms of a support organisation for the industry”.
