Most plastic-based substitutes for leather follow the linear economy: 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲, 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲, 𝗨𝘀𝗲, 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲. They are made from fossil fuels, wear out quickly and usually end up in landfill or incineration.

Genuine automotive leather fits a different model: the circular economy. It is a by-product of the food industry, transformed into a durable material that lasts for decades, can be repaired and reused, and even returned to the soil at the end of its life.
