Sustainable Cars

One4Leather writes on LinkedIn: When discussing sustainable cars, the conversation often focuses on batteries and emissions. But the materials inside the vehicle tell their own story.


Most plastic-based substitutes for leather follow the linear economy: 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲, 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲, 𝗨𝘀𝗲, đ—Ē𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲. They are made from fossil fuels, wear out quickly and usually end up in landfill or incineration.


Genuine automotive leather fits a different model: the circular economy. It is a by-product of the food industry, transformed into a durable material that lasts for decades, can be repaired and reused, and even returned to the soil at the end of its life.


This is why leather is not just a premium choice for automotive interiors: it is a smarter, more circular choice for the planet.
