Biomaterial company Modern Meadow has partnered with Italian communications agency Menabò Group for the global launch of its new material, Innovera. By ILM.
Previously known as Bio-Vera, Innovera is a bio-designed material made from plant-based proteins, biopolymers and recycled rubber.
According to Modern Meadow, the material contains over 80% renewable carbon content.
Designed to emulate the aesthetic and tactile qualities of traditional leather, it is marketed as lightweight and durable, with customisable colours and finishes.
Modern Meadow reports that it is positioning Innovera not as a direct substitute for animal leather but as a lower-impact, high-performance material for use in industries such as fashion, automotive, footwear and interior design.
