Today we celebrate World Environment Day. Led by the @unitednations Environment Programme (UNEP) since 1973, World Environment Day has grown into the largest global platform for environmental awareness and action.
This year, the focus is about ending global plastic pollution with a call to action campaign to Beat Plastic Pollution.
There are many ways we can all help. Being aware of hidden plastics in our shoes and clothes is one of them.
‘Vegan’ or faux leather is generally infused with plastics – despite the descriptive suggestion that vegan leather is good for the environment.
To help us all make better choices, Leather UK has written this brilliant guide to understanding, identifying and avoiding plastic pollution in fake leather. Read the guide in the link in bio!

We bring leather, material and fashion businesses together: an opportunity to meet and greet face to face. We bring them from all parts of the world so that they can find fresh partners, discover new customers or suppliers and keep ahead of industry developments.
We organise a number of trade exhibitions which focus on fashion and lifestyle: sectors that are constantly in flux, so visitors and exhibitors alike need to be constantly aware both of the changes around them and those forecast for coming seasons.
