The European Commission has introduced new simplifications and guidance to ease the implementation of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). By ILM.
EUDR is set to apply by the end of the year. The updated measures, announced on April 15, aim to cut administrative burdens for companies by an estimated 30% and ensure consistent enforcement across Member States.
The Commission published updated guidance and FAQs for operators, traders and national authorities, clarifying compliance requirements and allowing for more efficient due diligence procedures.
Key simplifications include the ability for large companies to reuse due diligence statements when reimporting goods, group submissions by authorised representatives and the option to file statements annually rather than per shipment.

We organise a number of trade exhibitions which focus on fashion and lifestyle: sectors that are constantly in flux, so visitors and exhibitors alike need to be constantly aware both of the changes around them and those forecast for coming seasons.
