Javier Chico Crestelo, Global Segment Manager for Leather Finish (non-auto) at Stahl, will explain the company’s new generation of water-based topcoats in a free-to-attend webinar on March 15, writes ILM.

In January 2022, Crestelo was appointed to the role of Global Segment Manager for Leather Finish (non-auto) at Stahl, and his determination to create higher performing and more responsible finishes is already yielding impressive results.

He studied industrial chemical engineering at the Polytechnic University of Catalunya (UPC), specialising in leather technology with a master’s degree (also from UPC) in 1997.

He began his career in the leather industry at BASF Curtex in 2000 as a leather finishing technician, moving to Pielcolor (now part of Stahl) in 2004. During his 17 years at the company, he gained in-depth experience across a wide range of international markets, holding roles including General Manager and Sales Manager for EMEA and LATAM.

This pre-recorded presentation will be followed by a live Q&A with ILM Deputy Editor Tom Hogarth, in which you’ll be able to pose your questions to Crestelo.

Register for free to attend this webinar, which will take place at 2pm CET (1pm GMT) on Wednesday, March 15. The webinar will last for approximately 45 minutes and will be available on-demand after the event.
