Artisan footwear brand Georges & Georges developed an unusual version of its Rosalie style of shoe. The Rosalie is an Oxford brogue (a style called Richlieu in France) with a long, tapered upper and a protruding heel-piece, writes Leatherbiz.

Georges & Georges offers a wide selection of patinas on its shoes but in this case, in response to a commission from a customer in the US, it created a patina inspired by a famous painting, Vincent van Gogh’s ‘Starry Night on the Rhone’.

It is now offering the shoes for wider sale at €550 per pair.
