Bio-based high-performance leather: contradiction or Reality?

Michael Franken from TFL is presenting at 23rd September at the ILM Automotive Conference about Bio-Based Technologies for Automotive Leather.

Automotive Leather is certainly the most challenging leather article for leather makers. No other leather must fulfill such high and strict performance – and quality requirements as requested from the automotive industry.

For this reason, only specially developed technologies and chemistries can be considered and applied for the manufacture of automotive leather. At the same time the need for environmentally compliant and sustainable chemistry is increasing.

About APLF

We bring leather, material and fashion businesses together: an opportunity to meet and greet face to face. We bring them from all parts of the world so that they can find fresh partners, discover new customers or suppliers and keep ahead of industry developments.

We organise a number of trade exhibitions which focus on fashion and lifestyle: sectors that are constantly in flux, so visitors and exhibitors alike need to be constantly aware both of the changes around them and those forecast for coming seasons.

APLF Fairs follow Informa AllSecure, Informa’s approach to enhanced health and safety standards at events in the aftermath of COVID-19.
