According to reports from within the country, Wenzhou-based companies who plan to show during the All-China Leather Exhibition (ACLE), currently set to be held between August 31 and September 2 in Shanghai, may be eligible for municipality-backed subsidies, reports Leatherbiz.

Citing an earlier announcement by Wenzhou Bureau of Commerce, China Leather Industry Association (CLIA) revealed that city administrators have listed ACLE as a “key” exhibition for local enterprises this year and will therefore offer financial support to all those who meet its criteria.

The national leather organisation added that almost 100 businesses from Wenzhou, considered an important “shoe capital” in China, participate in ACLE every year.
