1 December 2021

We are approaching the CSCB Sustainability Forum, to be held on December 8th and 9th, 100% online and free of charge. This is the main event of ideas in the Brazilian leather chain, which this year will have a mix of participations on innovation, research, results and knowledge applicable to the industry. The presentations will be lectures by experts (on the first day) and also short cases of success in sustainability from tanneries, footwear industry, chemical industry and certification (second day of the event). Simultaneous translation Portuguese / English will be available. Register here.

This year, the main theme of the Forum is Our Environment in Connected. The idea is to present some answers, proposals and reflections on the leather sector facing the challenges of the industry and society as a whole. Experiences will be shared in solid waste management, process improvement, ESG, zero carbon production target and other paths that present technological and creative solutions, combined with dedication and investment, with the objective of improving sustainability in the sector.

The forum is a realization of the Brazilian Leather project, an initiative of the Centre for Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil). Gold Sponsors: JBS Couros, NBN and Smit&Zoon. Silver Sponsorships: ATC/SA, Euro-America, Sincurt-MT, Units Brasil and Buckman.

About APLF

We bring leather, material and fashion businesses together: an opportunity to meet and greet face to face. We bring them from all parts of the world so that they can find fresh partners, discover new customers or suppliers and keep ahead of industry developments.

We organise a number of trade exhibitions which focus on fashion and lifestyle: sectors that are constantly in flux, so visitors and exhibitors alike need to be constantly aware both of the changes around them and those forecast for coming seasons.
