If we ever needed proof that leather endures, it’s this 2000-year-old leather shoe that was discovered during the Magna Roman Fort excavation 2025.

Thought to be a Roman Soldier’s shoe, the leather sole was found intact and measured 32cm from toe to heel, equivalent to men’s UK size 12-14!
