Temperature and humidity are rising. Evenings can be cool. The average is around 17-25(°C). Bring long-sleeved shirts or a light jacket for the evenings, and an umbrella or light rainwear for the occasional spring drizzle.

Chinese and English are the official languages of Hong Kong. All official signs and public transport announcements, as well as most menus, are bilingual. Most taxi drivers and salespeople are able to communicate in Cantonese (mother tongue of the majority of Hong Kong residents), English and Mandarin.

Currency
The legal tender is the Hong Kong dollar (HKD), which is linked to the US dollar at a rate of about 7.80 HKD to 1 USD, although exchange rates may fluctuate slightly.

Octopus Card
The Octopus card is a stored value electronic card widely used in Hong Kong for public transport, purchases in convenience stores, fast food shops, supermarkets, cake shops and vending machines, etc.

Electronic Payment
Most department stores, chain retail shops and restaurants accept electronic payments such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Alipay and WeChat Pay.

ATM
ATMs can be found almost everywhere. Many take international cards and some HSBC ‘Electronic Money’ machines provide 24-hour cash withdrawal (HK$) facilities for Visa and MasterCard holders. Some even provide foreign currency withdrawal service.
Upon arrival in Hong Kong, automatic sensors will take your temperature at the Hong Kong International Airport and boundary control points, and if it is high, you will be required to have a quick health check.
As an international city, Hong Kong has world-class hospitals providing outstanding care. LOCAL TRANSPORTATION
APLF is held at Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre which is located in the Wan Chai district of the Hong Kong Island. You can easily go to the venue by using the public transportation system.
VISA REQUIREMENT
To assist your visa application, the Organisers can issue you an official invitation letter. You can apply the invitation letter through this form at least two months before the Fair begins. After receiving and verifying the requested documents, we will send you the invitation letter by email. It will normally take four to six weeks for the Immigration Department to process a visit/transit visa/entry permit application upon receipt of all the required documents. Please note the issuance of a visa is at the discretion of the Hong Kong Immigration Department.
