Europe – Erasmus Project: AEQUALIS4TCLF advances regional skills partnerships

The Erasmus+ AEQUALIS4TCLF project has advanced its work to strengthen skills, inclusion and diversity across Europe’s textile, clothing, leather and footwear (TCLF) industries. By ILM.

At a meeting in Helsinki in early September, partners reviewed progress, including the launch of two regional public-private Pacts for Skills in the Czech Republic and Central Slovenia. The consortium aims to have seven regional partnerships approved by January 2027, alongside seven national skills strategies currently in development.

Work is also progressing on 40 micro credentials, with pilot courses due to begin shortly and run until April 2027. The courses will focus on skills for sustainable practices and digital transformation.

The project will also hold six workshops in 2027 on inclusion, diversity, wellbeing and sustainability, while developing diversity guidelines and a Manifesto for Diversity. An annual skills survey will take place in September and October 2026 to assess emerging skills needs across the TCLF sectors.
