Montblanc's debut in clothing is a triumph of leather

For the first time in 119 years, Montblanc makes its debut in apparel. The collection, which consists of 16 looks (all in leather) designed by Creative Director Marco Tomasetta, was shown during the Milan Men’s Fashion Week (June 2025). By La Conceria.

Montblanc’s debut in clothing

The first fashion collection offers a functional and sophisticated vision of the male wardrobe, entirely made of leather. Jackets, trench coats, trousers, shorts and accessories aim to “embody the desk in a wearable form”, so that people can “bring writing intimately into their everyday style”, says the press release.

The made in Italy jackets, in full grain leather, are combined with accessories: briefcases, backpacks, mini-pouches. Pockets and compartments allow you to store the writing instrument. “These are garments that speak of writing not as nostalgia, but as a contemporary gesture – Tomasetta tells Next Gen Magazine –. I want writing to travel with you. That it is no longer just something to keep on a desk, but a life companion.

This expression of the Montblanc tradition is the most intimate ever. Today our audience is much younger, international, aware. They are not just looking for the product, they are looking for a language. And writing can be exactly this: a personal code to express yourself”.
