(these countries bought extra than usual)  <\/p><ul><li>United States: 168 million more pairs<\/li><li>China: 469 million more pairs<\/li><li>European Union: 121 million more pairs<\/li><\/ul><p> <\/p><p>Exports also increased to 14.8 billion pairs, up 4.6% compared to 2023 with a total export value of $170 billion the second highest ever.<\/p><p><br>Asia continues to lead:<\/p><ul><li>88% of all shoes were made in Asia<\/li><li>China still leads with 13 billion pairs<\/li><li>India now holds 12.5% of global production (~about 2.98 billion pairs)<\/li><li>Vietnam stands at 6.5% (~about 1.55 billion pairs) <\/li><\/ul><p> <\/p><p>On the consumption front<\/p><ul><li>Asia took 55.5% of global demand,<\/li><li>North America (13.6%) &amp;<\/li><li>Europe (13.5%)<\/li><\/ul><p> <\/p><p>Top 3 consumers of footwear:<\/p><ul><li>China: 18.6%<\/li><li>India: 13.3%<\/li><li>USA: 9.8%<\/li><\/ul><p> <\/p><p>Pair per person<\/p><ul><li>North Americans bought the most 4.8 pairs per person<\/li><li>Africa the average was 1.4 per person<\/li><\/ul><p> <\/p><p>In exports, Asia lead with 85.1% of global volume <\/p><ul><li>While China remains the biggest exporter at 62.2% (its grip is slowly loosening down from 63.8% in 2023)<\/li><\/ul><p> <\/p><p>One major shift though in 2024 was in pricing.<\/p><p><br>From $8.83 per pair in 2015 to a peak of $11.98 in 2023 marking a 36% increase.<\/p><p><br>In 2024 the ~ avg export price per pair fell from $11.98 in 2023 to $11.47.<\/p><p><br>That&#8217;s it from my side and for more details please check out World Footwear Website. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section data-particle_enable=\"false\" data-particle-mobile-disabled=\"false\" class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-300ca70 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"300ca70\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-1c408ea\" data-id=\"1c408ea\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>19 August 2025 Global Footwear Statistics 2025 Global F&hellip;
