By factoring in the industry\u2019s sustainability advancements and more precise lifecycle data, bovine leather is now shown to have a much lower GWP than previously calculated.  <\/p><p><br>This 60% reduction in GWP highlights leather\u2019s capability to align with the modern automotive industry\u2019s push for sustainability without sacrificing the quality and luxurious feel that leather offers. As manufacturers face increasing pressure to reduce their overall environmental impact, materials like leather, which deliver both performance and reduced environmental impact, are becoming the top choice for car interiors. <\/p><p><br>The environmental impact of bovine leather being between 55% and 67% lower than the previous MSI value for leather.<\/p><p><br>Leather offers unmatched durability, breathability, and comfort\u2014attributes that are essential for automotive seating and interior surfaces.
