By <a href=\"https:\/\/leatherbiz.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leatherbiz<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Chief executive, Fran\u00e7ois-Henri Pinault, said he was confident changes the group made in the course of \u201ca difficult year\u201d had now brought Kering \u201cto a point of stabilisation\u201d. He said that, from this position, the group would \u201cgradually resume our growth trajectory\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Revenues at the group\u2019s biggest brand, Gucci, were \u20ac7.7 billion, down by 23% year on year. Kering announced the immediate departure of Gucci\u2019s creative director, Sabato De Sarno, on February 6.<\/p>\n<p>The group said on confirming the full-year results that the performance of new leathergoods lines at the brand, as well as of \u201ciconic Gucci lines such as the Jackie handbag and its new interpretations\u201d had been \u201chighly encouraging\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>At Yves Saint Laurent, revenues were \u20ac2.9 billion, a decline of 9% year on year. Again, Kering said new leathergoods products and reinterpretations of Yves Saint Laurent\u2019s \u201ciconic handbags\u201d had been \u201cvery well received\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>There was positive news from Bottega Veneta, where revenues reached \u20ac1.7 billion, an increase of 4%.
