\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe European Union (EU) is reportedly considering easing up its state aid rules for companies affected by its sanctions on Russia over the invasion of Ukraine, reports ILM<\/a>.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nCompetition regulators are also looking at various support measures as sanctions continue to multiply from the EU and beyond.\r\n\r\nReuters reported that the EU set a precedent during the pandemic when it relaxed state aid rules for businesses impacted by Covid-19 restrictions.\r\n\r\nCommission spokeswoman Arianna Podesta said: \u201cThe Commission is closely monitoring the situation and is ready to use the full flexibility of its state aid toolbox in order to enable member states to support companies and sectors severely impacted by the current geopolitical developments.\u201d\r\n\r\nAs of March 9, EU restrictive measures against Russia and Belarus now apply to a total of 862 individuals and 53 entities.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
