By <a href=\"https:\/\/leatherbiz.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leatherbiz<\/a>.<\/p><p><br>At the end of 2024, tanneries across 23 of Brazil\u2019s 26 states employed a total of 30,982 people.<\/p><p><br>By the end of the first quarter of this year, according to figures that national industry association CICB has shared, the industry employed a total of 32,016 people in 24 states. This represents an increase of 3.3% so far this year. <\/p><p><br>Rio Grande do Sul and S\u00e3o Paulo registered the highest increases and the highest totals. Rio Grande do Sul\u2019s leather sector added 429 jobs in the first quarter of 2025 to take its total to 8,397. For S\u00e3o Paulo, the increase was 206, with the total for the state rising to 6,367.  <\/p><p><br>Other states with more than 1,000 people working in leather production were Paran\u00e1, Goi\u00e1s, Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso and Santa Catarina.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section data-particle_enable=\"false\" data-particle-mobile-disabled=\"false\" class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-f05a6ff elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"f05a6ff\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-688f542\" data-id=\"688f542\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>12 May 2025 Brazil &#8211;
