Fresh news from The Leathersellers in the UK.

Leather Naturally writes on LinkedIn: Chair, Nicholas Tusting announced they will be increasing total grant-making to the industry. This funding will support a wide range of initiatives to include micro tanneries and apprenticeships in leather making, training for bookbinders and leatherworkers, research, teaching, and the broader promotion of UK tanners’ interests in partnership with Leather UK.

TUSTING also announced that the Livery Company will be supporting a new location for the Leather Conservation Centre – to a state of the art workshop in Leicester. Working with a range of partners including De Montford University, the site opens officially on 24 June.

This is exciting news for the leather industry – with so much existing and emerging talent being supported!
