At the APLF 2026 press conference, JLIA (Japan Leather and Leather Goods Industries Association) will formally announce its latest launches, including the newly introduced JLIA Sustainable Certification, a programme aligned with the SDGs and international ESG standards that recognises sustainability progress across the leather supply chain.
JLIA will also feature the Japan Eco Leather Certification, which certifies leathers produced with reduced environmental impact, assessed against criteria such as chemical safety, responsible manufacturing processes and waste management.
